Axis is a network of dynamic Jews in their 20s and 30s committed to building a vibrant young Jewish community in Metro Vancouver.

Looking for a Shabbat dinner or people to hike with? Want to volunteer and feed the hungry? You’ll find it all here. Through diverse initiatives and events, you’ll meet other young Jews, have fun, volunteer, travel, become a leader, and make a positive impact in our community. As an initiative of Jewish Federation, we share their commitment to the values of klal Israel (the collective unity of the Jewish people), tzedakah (the obligation to care for one another) and tikkun olam (repairing of the world).

Axis empowers us to build a community that reflects our passions and our interests. Our diverse community welcomes the participation of newcomers, born-and-bred Vancouverites, professionals, grad students, singles, interfaith couples and families, and people of all abilities, backgrounds and sexual orientations. Within our warm and inviting surroundings, Axis encourages meaningful participation and creates a special sense of belonging.

About Jewish Federation

Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver is committed to building a strong, vibrant and enduring Jewish community on the Lower Mainland, in Israel and throughout the world by nurturing the values, practices and traditions which sustain and enrich Judaism and Jewish culture.

Jewish Federation is our community’s centre for Jewish philanthropy. Through its collaborative community planning process and its annual fundraising campaign, Jewish Federation funds much-needed programs and services that touch many lives. Jewish Federation works closely with partner agencies to identify needs locally, in our partnership region in Israel and in overseas Jewish communities.
